Singapore, 16 JANUARY 2026 \u2014 Levanta Renewables (Levanta), Actis\u2019 pan-Southeast Asia renewable energy platform, concluded 2025 by bringing light to an off-grid community in the Visayas region, Philippines\u2014one of the platform\u2019s key areas of operation. \n\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Through the Levanta Cares programme, solar-powered streetlights were installed to enhance night-time safety and visibility within communities neighbouring Levanta\u2019s project sites. This initiative benefits students, teachers, and residents in areas that previously lacked reliable lighting, fostering safer, more sustainable environments while supporting the region\u2019s broader transition to clean energy. \n\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The project was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from\u00a0Levanta, local government officials, school administrators, and community members. During the event, the\u00a0Levanta\u00a0team also distributed 148 reusable lunch boxes to students at Sto. Tomas Elementary School, including 45 children from the Indigenous Ati community. This initiative supports\u00a0Levanta\u2019s\u00a0advocacy for reducing single-use plastics and fostering environmental awareness among the youth in its host communities.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
